Loan Originator (Inside Sales)

The Loan Originator (Inside Sales) will work with the Marketing and Sales team to convert incoming leads to new business with excellent customer service. The Loan Originator (Inside Sales) receives lead applications from the Marketing Department and works very closely with the Marketing and Sales Assistant and the Marketing Director. As Inside Sales, the primary function of this role is to work Marketing Leads. The Loan Originator (Inside Sales) reports directly to the President and Vice President, with occasional supervision from the Marketing Director.

This position is a W2 role and is paid with a combination of base + commission. Performance bonuses are available.

Some degree of physical presence in the office is required; specific days and times will be agreed upon amongst the candidate and employer.

Expectations

• Contact prospects in regards to mortgage loan applications via phone, email, and text message
• Interview loan applicants and assist with the loan application process as needed
• Prepare pre-qualifications for borrowers
• Prepare loan files for processing and set-up with strict adherence to company policies and procedures
• Maintain communication with the client regarding rate locks and loan structure
• Stay in communication with Client, Processing, Realtors, Title, and other entities in the transaction
• Communicate a thorough understanding of different loan programs and closing costs to help prospective buyers make a decision
• Create relationships with realtors, prospects and customers to establish trust and encourage referral business.
• Knowledge of underwriting guidelines for conventional and government loans as well as state and federal mortgage regulations and disclosures
• Attend and assist with Marketing events (expos, classes, networking events, etc.)
• Attend weekly Marketing/Sales meetings, monthly off-site meetings, and quarterly Sales training meetings
• Develop mastery of our CRM (Hubspot) for note-taking, scheduling/management of tasks, and communication with Marketing

Requirements

• Must have an active NMLS Mortgage Originator License
• Must maintain a valid Colorado Mortgage Originator license (to include individual E&O coverage and surety bond)
• 1 year of Origination experience required
• 1 year of Customer Service and Sales experience required
• Night and weekend availability as needed
• Stay current on new products available for customers, complete ongoing education for licensing and compliance
• Exceptional decision-making ability, superior written and verbal communication skills, and superb interpersonal and customer service skills required
• Experience with loan origination software preferred. We use Calyx Point.
• Extremely self-motivated with attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30,000.00 - $94,274.00 per year
