“Affinity Mortgage Brokers” came to be just a few years ago, but its history stretches so much further than that. Dwight Howard, President and CEO of Affinity Mortgage, has been working in the mortgage industry since the 1990s. In the beginning, he was a Soldier by day and a Home Loan Specialist by night.

Dwight had been in the military for 12 years when he decided to part ways with the Army due to injuries he had received over his years of service. Because he was passionate about the mortgage industry and wanted to continue to serve others, he decided to become a full time Loan Officer in 1997. Over the next 10 years, Dwight worked with a few different companies.

Eventually, he decided to journey out on his own, and in 2013, he began operating under the name Osie, Inc., after his late grandmother. He started this operation with a small administrative staff, but growth found him quickly and he went on to hire several other brokers. Originally, this was a joint venture offering both real estate and mortgage services. After a few years, though, Dwight decided it was time to focus all of his attention on mortgage services and again branched out on his own. At this time, the business became Affinity Mortgage Brokers as we know it today. Dwight is now supported by a team of loan officers and a full in-house administrative staff who work hard to uphold his original vision.
